Connecting with Shareholders of Alliance Bank Central Texas

August 2021

Message from Todd Moore

Your bank has a wonderful culture of service and teamwork. I think it exists because people who work here have high emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence (otherwise known as emotional quotient, or Ei) is the ability to understand, use and manage one’s emotions to positively relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict. We feel that certain character traits make all the difference--charisma, intuition, and competitiveness matter; empathy, humility and gratitude matter. These are things that make our bank who we are. It is our stock in trade, our brand, and is building great shareholder value. Thank you for your role in putting this environment in place.

In the 20 Questions segment, Caleb captures the heart of our mission: build good relationships with customers. It’s really amazingly simple, and positions us as a powerful competitor in the community bank market.

One of the people directly connected to our success is a founding director and great friend of the bank, Brent Neuhaus. In the Board Spotlight, read about his business successes as CEO of Brazos Valley Equipment Co. and service to the youth of our community through the Heart ‘O Texas Fair and Rodeo. He has served as a Fair and Rodeo volunteer since 2004 and has been a past chairman. Event programming helps youth learn work ethic, grow confidence and earn scholarships so that they can be better prepared to positively impact their community for the next 40 years. The qualities reinforced there are ones Brent values and are authentic to him. It’s why he is such a great fit for the Fair and Rodeo board and leadership.

We hope you enjoy our AskAlliance segments included here. If you have, or know of a business or community service story that needs to be amplified, just let us know.

Call on us if you need us for anything, banking or otherwise. It’s why we’re here!

Hit us up at AskAlliance@alliancebanktexas.com or give me a call on my cell at 254-722-2300.

20 Questions in 30 Seconds

Caleb Quetz joined the Alliance Bank team in 2018 and is a lead teller. He is enrolled in McLennan Community College, and Tarleton State University pursuing a degree in business management. He enjoys mathematics and problem solving, two skills he uses each day. But if he hadn't chosen the financial industry as a career path, he'd like to be a sports analyst.

PPP Update

PPP Forgiveness
It’s that time again! If you received your PPP loan through our bank, you may now be eligible to apply for forgiveness. For Second Draw loans, borrowers can choose a covered period of eight to 24 weeks. Once your covered period is over and you have exhausted your PPP funds on allowable expenses, you are eligible to apply for forgiveness. If your loan amount was less than $150,000 and you used all your proceeds on allowable expenses without decreasing wages and employees, you may likely use the 3508S form to apply for forgiveness. Most other borrowers will be eligible to use the 3508EZ. The longer form, 3508, will be used by borrowers who had to make a larger reduction in their employees’ hours, wages, or positions. There are many exceptions and scenarios affecting which form you may use. Please read the instructions and understand the representations you are making when submitting the appropriate form.

You may find links to the forms at
www.alliancebanktexas.com/ppp. If you have questions regarding which form you are eligible to use, please feel free to call us at 254-741-8000 or
e-mail
AskAlliance@alliancebanktexas.com.
