The Bank Note - September 2021

Connecting with Shareholders of Alliance Bank Central Texas

September 2021

Message from Todd Moore

When we were putting the original bank board together, we needed a diverse group of business people--women and men with and without banking experience. Mark Minor was one of my former bosses in banking, going back to my college days. Having owned a Central Texas bank, the Minor family had a proven track record for sound business practices, high integrity, and providing a high level of personal service to their customers. He was a natural fit for our board and was up to the challenge. See his story in today’s newsletter.  Thanks, Mark, for all you have done for the bank and for continuing to serve on our board and on board committees into your retirement.

In September, 14 years ago, our bank was formed and acquired the State Bank of Jewett. Our journey to becoming a strong Central Texas bank is a great story, thanks to our shareholders, employees and customers. Our logo has a great story, too. Our shareholders, employees and customers are represented by the three interlocking rings. Each group is independently strong, and when working together in concert, we can, and have, achieved great things. See our growth results in the “14 Years Ago” section.

From shoe store associate to top notch banking professional, Chris Tweedle knows how to customize service to meet varying individual goals. That’s what community bankers do, and Chris is as good as they come.  AND, she likes Willie Nelson!  What’s not to like about that? Learn more about Chris in the 20 Questions section and stay tuned for exciting news about how banking professionals like Chris will help bring the Alliance Bank experience to Bell County communities.

Chicago native Kevin DeVries has brought something really unique to Waco. Splendid Oaks Chocolates offers specialty chocolates (that take four days to make!) and Graeter's Ice Cream from Ohio. They are located in the heart of downtown, next to Milo on Franklin Avenue. Check it out and tell him we sent you...you won’t regret it!

Don’t forget those Google Reviews! They really do drive traffic to your bank.

Call us if you need anything, banking or otherwise.  It’s why we’re here! Hit us up at AskAlliance@alliancebanktexas.com or give me a call on my cell at 254-722-2300.
