October 2020
Message from Todd Moore
One of the great things about being community bankers is the breadth and depth of diverse business relationships we develop. CargoHome, Nightlight Donuts & Coffee, and DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen are some examples highlighted this month. We hope you will patronize them as opportunities arise.
The first nine months of 2020 have been an unprecedented time in American history. Despite the shutdowns, limited ability for our team to meet in person with customers and prospects, and the effect the pandemic has had on commerce in general, it is rather remarkable that we are continuing to see positive trends in many areas. Loans are up $21 million (9%) over last year. Demand deposits are up $40 million (51%) over last year. Year to date operating profit is up 9%, and net income is 14% higher than the same period last year. The nationwide implementation of the Payroll Protection Program raised awareness of the value of community banking in the small and medium sized business sector; that, coupled with the longstanding business relationships of our bankers and board members, helped us achieve these results.
While the Waco economy is fairing well, we are closely monitoring for any signs of stress in our loan portfolio due to the impact of COVID-19. Our intent is to maintain a culture within the bank of being positive, helpful, knowledgeable and productive. If we do, and we honor our mission statement to Partner, Serve and Perform, the bank should be positioned well for continued healthy growth post-pandemic.

About Alliance Bank Central Texas
Alliance Bank Central Texas is a community bank founded by a local board of directors, owned by a diverse group of over 200 shareholders, and operated by seasoned bankers, most of whom have spent their entire careers in Waco. In less than ten years it has seen assets grow from $35 million to over $350 million. The bank is focused on helping entrepreneurs, professionals and residents, and understands the condition of the local market. It feels real value is created through people connecting personally with their bankers, versus simply having transactions with a bank. Alliance Bank Central Texas provides a full range of financial services including business, personal and mortgage loans. It also provides a variety of deposit products and services including commercial, personal and certificates of deposits along with electronic banking, mobile deposit and cash management services.
