Time Manufacturing
Services: Time Manufacturing is a leading global manufacturer of vehicle-mounted aerial lifts, digger derricks, bucket trucks, and bridge inspection equipment.
Q: What drew you to Time Manufacturing? I grew up in Ohio, and worked in the automotive industry for over 20 years. My career has taken me across the map, including six years in Mexico, and five years in Brazil. I made my way to Texas in 2013 where I worked for a private equity firm that owned Big Tex Trailers. Waco became home after The Sterling Group, based in Houston, bought Time Manufacturing in 2017. I was drawn to the continued opportunities to expand the company’s domestic and global footprint.
Q: What are your flagship services? Through our strong company brands like Versalift, Time is widely recognized for quality, value, and innovation. With a variety of aerial lift products with various platform capacities and vertical reach, workers and technicians can safely operate at heights from 20 feet to greater than 200 feet with load bearing of 400 to 750 pounds.
Q: What makes the customer service experience unique? Our tremendous team. We have some of the most experienced team members who ensure the highest standards of design and performance. We also have a deep and loyal customer base of telecom and cable companies, electric utilities, DOTs and municipal authorities. I believe these rich relationships and Versalift’s solid reputation in the market is a direct reflection of each person’s commitment to excellence. Their hard work has made us a globally recognized leading provider of some of the most prized products in our industry.
Q: What growth has the business seen? Time has grown from 700 to more than 1,300 employees worldwide since 2017, with six acquisitions in the last 18 months. We continue to expand our footprint of company-owned distributors in the Midwest and Southeast, offering complete fleet solutions throughout the region. Continued growth, coupled with strategic proximity to suppliers, and significant facility and process improvement implemented at the Waco manufacturing headquarters have enhanced capability to manufacture and distribute to a larger market, with reduced lead times.
Our growing global footprint rounds out our broad market access. We have 25 owned or leased facilities across the U.S., Europe and China. Our principal manufacturing facility is located here in Waco, and we have additional manufacturing facilities in Duluth, MN; Farso, Denmark. A fourth facility will launch in Xuchang, China at the end of 2019.
Additionally, to further meet the needs of our customers, we have added truck-mounted under-bridge inspection units (UBIUs) to our fleet and have expanded into the forestry, landscape and tree care markets.
Q: What keeps you energized about going to work each day? Being part of a team that is creating a bigger, stronger Waco-based company that will continue to serve the industry’s needs for years to come.

Inspiracion: Inspiring and Elevating Familes through Education
During the first annual "Remember Recess!" fundraiser at one of downtown's newest hot spots, Freight Icehouse and Yard Bar, Inspiración put the fun in fundraising by encouraging participants to be a kid again...but just for one night. Thanks to tremendous community support, generous funds were raised that will help provide a firm foundation to Waco ISD children as they start kindergarten.
Inspiración is a local nonprofit that partners with Waco ISD to serve at risk Latino families with children ages 0-4 who will attend kindergarten at Alta Vista. This unique program provides parent education classes and early childhood classes that empower parents to become active in their child's education, both at home and in the classroom.
Recess will be back in session Fall 2020!
